A long-running hit series on cable television is looking for talking walls in Emporia and the surrounding area.
“If you have renovated a historic home and made any amazing discoveries, we want to talk to you,” said Jenna Friederich, research coordinator for the “If Walls Could Talk,” which is broadcast on the Home and Garden Television network.
People who have found items with interesting stories behind them may contact Friederich at 303-712-3146 or by e-mail at JFriederich@highnoonentertainment.com.
Friederich said the production company hopes to schedule a shoot date in Emporia in the coming months, but needs to hear from homeowners within the next week.
Featured homes will be within a two-hour drive of Kansas City.
The show also brings in an appraiser to examine the discoveries and set monetary values.
“A lucky few will be amazed to learn that the historic artifacts they’ve discovered are worth a fortune when the ‘If Walls Could Talk’ appraiser drops by for a look,” Friederich said.
