Dalton has a sister, MaKinze Petersen, and a brother, Brantley Petersen. Grandparents are John Johnson and Cherry Johnson, both of Gardner, and Jeff Petersen of Emporia. The great-grandparents are Jerry and Bridgett Whitehead of Oak Grove, Mo., James and Winnie Johnson of Marysville and George and Ann Lodle and Carl Petersen of Emporia.
