Two Emporia High School students came to school with hunting guns in their pick-up following a hunting trip earlier this week.
Nancy Horst, spokeswoman for Emporia Public Schools, said the two students had been out hunting and had to come back to school for an activity and they still had their guns in the pick-up.
“It wasn’t any kind of a threat or any kind of aggressive behavior,” Horst said. “The administration didn’t consider it a violent act.”
Horst said the students simply forgot to remove them from the vehicle when they came back to school.
