Not doing his job

I’D LIKE TO SHARE with you what happened when I recently called on the Kansas division of consumer protection for help.
In July I bought an item from a company under the door-to-door salesmen rule. When the company refused to perform their contract duties, I contacted the division for help under the Kansas Consumer Protection Act. Two and a half months later, I received a letter from an assistant attorney general saying they are not going to take any action against the company. They must have had better things to do than protecting Kansas consumers from businesses that break the rules — seizing private medical records or raising funds for for-profit business while in church are a couple that come to mind.
Let’s vote for an attorney general who will care about protecting the people of Kansas more than allowing big business to trample our rights, promoting their personal agenda or pushing what they consider to be ‘right’ upon everyone else.
Even though I am a registered Republican, I do not vote the party line. The performance of Phill Kline’s staff is a prime example why that happens. On Nov. 7, I hope the people of Kansas let Phill know that we deserve better!
