Olpe The planning board at Olpe is soliciting the community for opinions about wants and needs for the city in three, five and 10 years.
A meeting to collect those opinions is scheduled at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the American Legion hall at Olpe.
Olpe Mayor Jerry Tempelmeyer said that the board had asked him to invite local school officials and business owners, members of the community, and members of the Emporia Chamber of Commerce.
The board will work on a plan that can be used by current and future councils for budget purposes.
“I would greatly welcome all Olpe business owners and the public to attend so we get a good idea of what they feel Olpe’s needs are,” Tempelmeyer said.
