Emporia Schools

These meals will be served next week in the Emporia schools:

Breakfast

Monday: cereal and grahm cookie or PopTarts.

Tuesday: biscuit and gravy or cereal and graham cookie.

Wednesday: blueberry scone or cereal and muffin.

Thursday: No school.

Friday: No school.

Lunch

Monday: cheese pizza, vegetable bites and dip, applesauce, Oreo cookies.

Tuesday: Frito-chili pie, corn chips, tossed salad, peaches, Rice Krispie treats.

Wednesday: chicken patty on a bun, seasoned fries, baby carrots and dip, tropical fruit cup.

Thursday: No school.

Friday: No school.

Breakfast is served with juice and milk; lunch is served with milk.

Friendship Meals

Emporia

Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.

Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For home delivery, call 340-8001.

These meals will be served next week.

Monday: meatballs, fettucini alfredo, autumn blend vegetables, rye bread, plums.

Tuesday: swiss steak, scalloped potatoes, ranch vegetables, wheat bread, pumpkin bar.

Wednesday: turkey tetrazzini, spinach salad, mixed vegetables, roll, cookie.

Thursday: chicken salad, broccoli soup, crackers, pineapple-mango paradise.

Friday: ham and beans, coleslaw, cornbread, raspberry gelatin with fruit.

North Lyon County

Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.

Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.

These meals will be served next week.

Monday: chicken-fried steak, baked potato, broccoli, bread, peach crisp.

Tuesday: chicken and vegetable casserole, coleslaw, wheat bread, pineapple-peach posey.

Wednesday: beef tips in gravy, noodles, mixed vegetables, wheat bread, sunshine salad, cereal bar.

Thursday: hot turkey sandwich, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, cranberry-apple salad, butterscotch brownies.

Friday: lasagna, tossed salad, garlic bread, apricots.
