Olpe Butter Braid sale
The annual PTO Butter Braid sale has begun and will continue until Tuesday. Butter Braids will sell for $8 each. The Olpe PTO is recruiting interested parents to join the organization.
Halloween activities
The Olpe Elementary School parade and parties will begin around 2 p.m. on Halloween. Parents are encouraged to come and help children get into their costumes. Students should not wear any costumes that depict blood and gore.
Homecoming royalty
The Olpe High School Homecoming king and queen were announced after the football game on Oct. 6. Drew Pettijohn and Megan Cole wore the crowns for Olpe High School. The sophomore class received first place for their homecoming parade float.
Volleyball tournament
The Olpe High School girls will be participating in the sub-state Volleyball tournament in Madison at 1 p.m. Saturday.
New sign
The Olpe High School senior class bought a new sign that has been installed on the football field “Eagle nest.” The football team played its last scheduled home game on Oct. 13 against Yates Center.
