Madison earns rare trip to Sub-State

The Madison volleyball team earned its first trip to Sub-State in 10 years by finishing second at the Lebo Regional on Tuesday behind Regional champion, Olpe.

Madison opened the tournament with a 2-0 (25-18, 25-23) victory over Williamsburg and followed that with another 2-0 (25-22, 25-19) sweep, this time over Waverly.

Olpe defeated Madison, 2-0 (25-23, 25-13) in a close match to take the Regional title, but by virtue of its 2-1 record, Madison earned its Sub-State berth.
