Citizens wanted to advise on city manager
City residents will get a chance this Wednesday to say what they want to see in a city manager.
A public meeting on the subject will begin at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the little theater at White Auditorium. The city’s consultant, Waters-Oldani of Dallas, will use the ideas from the meeting to help create its profile of an ideal Emporia city manager. Waters-Oldani will also meet with city officials and some community members on Wednesday and Thursday.
Once the profile has been developed, the city will begin advertising for the position. From the applications, three to six finalists will be selected to interview in Emporia.
