Shortly after midnight today, Family Video, 1012 Commercial St., was the victim of armed robbery, the Emporia Police Department reported.
According to Mark Schondelmaier, of the Emporia Police Department, an undetermined amount of money was taken from the clerk by a black male armed with a weapon. The black male was said to have had a dark complection and wore a dark-colored jacket.
The investigation into the robbery is continuing. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact the Emporia Police Department at 342-1766.
