Friday Thoughts is a light-hearted commentary.
LAST WEEK, I was talking with local accountant Tim Wright. He said he played golf with some clients but didn’t play well.
This made me wonder:
- Did Tim really not play well?
- Or, did he let the client win so the client would feel good about a triumphant victory and would likely invite Tim to play again?
- Or, did Tim not play well because he wanted to show the client that he spends way too much time in the office at his job to really be good at extracurricular activities?
Who knows what the real answer is. But taking an accountant golfing might not be a bad idea. My golf score can get so high that it needs the expertise of an accountant to keep track of all my strokes and penalties.
