Tag deadline
Thursday is the last day for people whose last names begin with T, V or W to renew their vehicle licenses without penalty.
The Motor Vehicle Office in the Lyon County Courthouse is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Proof of insurance is require to renew registration.

Hetlinger can drive
Hetlinger Developmental Services is offering a one-day holiday special. Recycle your aluminum cans from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and receive 50 cents per pound. Cans should be brought to 707 S. Commercial. Hetlinger offers year-round recycling from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday-Friday.
