Angel Food
This week, orders for discounted food packages are being accepted by the Emporia Church of the Nazarene and Larry Hutton Ministries of Oklahoma through the Angel Food Ministries of Georgia.
Under the program, $25 buys a large box of food — more than 20 pounds — containing meat, fruit, vegetables, beans, rice, eggs and prepared frozen entrees, all fresh, name-brand products in a selection intended to be both tasty and nutritious.
The food must be paid for in advance this week and will be delivered Dec. 16 at the church. No application is required and there are no qualifications or purchase limits. Cash, money orders and food stamps are accepted, but not personal checks.
Orders for December will be taken from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, 2931 W. 24th Ave.
For more information on the monthly program, call the church at 342-2858. For more information on Angel Food, go to www.angelfoodministries.com.
