Dictionaries for students
Emporia Rotary Club members presented 540 dictionaries to Emporia fifth-grade students Tuesday. The club bought the dictionaries, and Rotary members put labels where the students could sign their names.
Rotarian Jody Heerman said it’s a project the club members really like. The dictionaries went to fifth-grade students in Emporia public schools, the Christian school and Sacred Heart school. Sacred Heart Principal Charles Monckton said the students are eager to get them.
