THE ROTARY CLUB meets at noon at the Emporia Country Club, 18th Avenue and Rural Street.

SINGLE ADULT FELLOWSHIP GROUP meets at 6 p.m. every Tuesday at Wendy’s on Sixth Ave., during December. They meet at Casa Ramos today. The First Friday Feast is at 6 p.m. (call for location). Information: Sara, 342-5303.

THE EMPORIA AREA RETIRED SCHOOL PERSONNEL meets at 11:30 a.m. at the American Legion, 2921 W. 12th Ave,. for a Recycled Gift Swap (bring a gift to swap). The program, “Christmas Caroling,” will be led by Sheree Stoppel, director of the EHS vocal music department. Greeters are Billy and MaryLee Phillips. Louise Wright will give the invocation.

THE ANNUAL DECEMBER SOUP LUNCH meeting of the Emporia Branch of AAUW (American Association of University Women) will at 11:30 a.m Saturday at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 828 Commercial St. Speakers will be the ESU scholarship recipients of the Emporia Branch AAUW Scholarships. There also will be special entertainment. AAUW Emporia branch is celebrating its 85th anniversary in 2006. P.T.O. CHAPTER DI meets at noon at the Emporia Country Club for the Christmas Auction. Sara Evans is the hostess.

P.E.O. CHAPTER GT meets at the First Presbyterian Church with Peggy Wygle serving as hostess. Kathryn Perkins will give the program, “Historic Stained Glass Windows.” Shirley Hurt will give the Projects report about continuing education.
