Holiday closings
Thursday is Thanksgiving, and Emporia’s financial institutions, government offices and schools will be closed, as will most businesses.
There will be no residential trash collection. Thursday trash will be picked up on Wednesday. The transfer station and recycling center will be closed Thursday and Friday. There will be no mail delivery.
The Gazette will be published early and delivered in the morning.
Other closings include the Emporia Public Library and the Lyon County Museum.
