Friday Thoughts is a light-hearted commentary.
I WONDER how many fanatical K-State football fans it would take to bring down the goal posts after a triumphant win? Apparently 40,000 fans were not enough.
After their victory over No. 4 ranked Texas, K-state fans stormed the field and made repeated attempts to tear down the goal posts, but they failed.
I should probably point out that in KU’s storied football history, their students have been successful many times at bringing their goal posts down.
The next time K State students want to take down the goal posts, perhaps they should bring in some KU students to show them how to get the job done.

The goal posts were designed to be permanent. Bill Snyder had them installed to prevent them from ever coming down with human power. Most goal posts are aluminum, these are steel with large concrete footings. Sorry to ruin your "KU is better than K-State" story.

If I had a penny for everytime I heard an excuse from a KSU fan I would be very rich.
