The fund to help pay medical expenses for Nathaniel Pearson of Emporia is not tax-deductible, according to a Bank of America spokesman, where the Nathaniel Pearson Medical Fund was set up. Pearson has been in the critical care unit of Stormont-Vail Hospital for more than one month.
