Olpe winners
Olpe students were among the winners in the annual Veteran’s Essay contest. The winners from Olpe are Josie Herrick and Taylor Scheidegger, sixth grade; Jake Brinkman and Haley Herrick, seventh grade; and Nicholas Ashmore, Alex Kuhlmann and Tyson Pettijohn, eighth grade.
In the poster contest, winners were Paige Blankley, seventh grade; Glen Hagg, Kyle Barnhart and Kandice Schriener, eighth grade; and Seth Blankley, ninth grade.
The students received their awards at a recognition and reception in Emporia .
