NOW THAT the election is over, the bombardment of campaign messages has stopped, the yard signs are being pulled up — our community is getting back to normal.
But do we really want it back to normal?
Over the last couple of weeks, our community has been alive with people debating the issues. We have had good discussions about our elected officials, taxes and our community’s future.
Just because the elections are over, those discussions should not stop. We need to harness the passion that surfaced during the election process and put it to work.
Our community has plenty of challenges, and we need people to stay engaged to work to make improvements.
It is easy for people to become engaged only when they don’t like an issue or a candidate. But what happens between now and the next election is the work that will make a difference in our community.

People who dont stand up and try to change what they feel isnt right should not sit back and complain about whats wrong. Don't just talk about it, join others that are trying to make a difference. It takes more than a leader to see growth and improvement, it takes a team.

The voters have spoken. Hear them and go on. Don't be such bad losers and keep trying to bully your way.
