Directives clinic
Hand In Hand Hospice staff will lead an advance directives clinic from 3 to 6 p.m. Nov. 16 at 1015 Industrial Road, Suite A. The clinic is to assist people in advance care planning and help answer questions about the process. Advance care planning can help determine the care you receive if you become unable to speak for yourself and improve the difficult end-of-life decisions for your family. The clinic includes the preparation of a Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care Decisions.
Lions in the streets
The Emporia Lions Club and the Lions of District MD 17-K6 are hosts this weekend to the Lions Second State Council meeting in Emporia. The meeting begins on Friday and lasts through Sunday.
Lions from across the state will be in town for the meeting at which policies and procedures will be set for the service club.
