Store shelves are still fairly fully stocked as this holiday season dwindles down to the last few shopping days before Christmas. Shoppers should plenty of variety left for those last minute gifts.
Ron Webb, co-manager at Wal-Mart, said business is really picking up in these last remaining shopping days before Christmas.
“It’s the last minute- holiday rush,” Webb said. “We’ll be very busy. There will be lots of people shopping.”
Webb said they have a few Playstation 3’s in stock, but the Nintendo Wii’s are out of stock.
“The Wii’s come in and blow out,” Webb said. “We have a few TMX Elmos left and we have a lot of gift sets and last-minute gift items that are great.”
Staples’ shelves are filled with holiday offerings of gadgets, computers, cameras and more for last-minute buyers.
The temperate weather should hold through Christmas, according to Blake Smith of the Channel 49 Stormteam. Smith said it’s going to be 41 degrees on Christmas day. On Sunday night there could be a few flurries, but no accumulation.
“It won’t be a white Christmas, but, hey, you might see a little bit of winter weather Sunday night,” Smith said.
