Deer remain active throughout Lyon County, and were responsible for three non-injury accidents Thursday evening near Emporia.
Tosha M. Hendricks of Americus was driving north about 5:43 p.m. when she struck a westbound deer in the 2500 block of Road F.
Less than an hour later, Brenda J. Gehring of Olpe was driving south in the 1100 block of Highway 99 when she struck a westbound deer at 6:29 p.m. about a 10th of a mile south of Road 110.
Lee Lowder of Allen struck a deer in the roadway about 7:03 p.m. as he was driving north in the 2600 block of Road L (the Allen Road).
