Emporians who want to attend the school board meeting and the district’s Seasonal Celebration may need to mark off Wednesday and Thursday on their calendars this week.
The board of education will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Mary Herbert Education Center. The Seasonal Celebration will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. A full dress rehearsal, open to the public at no charge, will be at noon on Tuesday.
At the meeting Wednesday, members will consider a grant application for Parents as Teachers to the Juvenile Justice Authority and reports from the Flint Hills Technical College Board of Trustees, the Emporia Recreation Commission and Head Start.
The Logan Avenue and Lowther South Intermediate staffs will present a curriculum report on K-5 Math Trailblazers Instruction.
The board also will consider revisions to the school calendar for 2007-08.
