Four for $4

The ESU Theatre production of “Four for 4,” described as four one act plays for four bucks, continues to performed at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday in the Frederickson Theatre in Roosevelt Hall. Tickets may be purchased at the door or by calling 341-6378 until 4 p.m. today.

Plumb Place art show

The Artists’ Holiday Open House, art exhibit and sale, is being held from 5 to 10 p.m. today and 1 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Plumb Place, 224 E. Sixth Ave. Admission is free, but donations for Plumb Place will be accepted.

ESU music

The ESU Department of Music Brass Ensemble and Wind Ensemble concert is at 7:30 p.m. today in Albert Taylor Hall on the ESU campus. On Sunday at 3 p.m., the A Cappella Choir and Community Chorus concert will take place, also in Albert Taylor Hall. General admission is $5; students and senior citizens, $4.

Breakfast with Santa is being offered from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Emporia Public Library. Call 340-6466.

Holiday tour

The Holiday Homes Tour, sponsored by the Lyon County Historical Society, is being held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $8 each. Information: 340-6310.

Faculty art on display

The Emeritus ESU Faculty Exhibition in the Gilson Room Galleryand the ESU Faculty Exhibition in the Eppink Gallery ends Dec. 10. The next exhibit in the Eppink Gallery, from Feb 5 to-March 2, will be “Paper Cuts: The Art of Contemporary Paper.” Chris Meyeras-Ceramics will be shown in the Gilson Room from Feb. 27 to March 16.

To ‘Bee’ or not to ‘Bee’

“Bee Season” by Myla Goldberg will be the final book in the Fall 2006 Book Discussion Series at the Emporia Public Library. Discussions begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the large meeting room of the library, 110 E. Sixth Ave. Multiple copies of the book are available for checkout.
