Emporia will be the site of three KSHSAA state championships this fall and winter.

The Class 5A State Girls Golf Championship will be contested on October 21-22 at Emporia Municipal Golf Course. This will be the first time the tournament will be extended to two days after the KSHSAA Board of Directors approved the move in April.

Emporia State’s Welch Stadium will remain the host of the Class 6A State Football Championship Game, which will be held on November 30.

Emporia’s White Auditorium remains the site of the Class 5A Girls and Boys State Basketball Championships that will be held March 11-14, 2020.

Other notable championship sites:

The Class 5A State Girls Tennis Championships will be hosted by Pittsburg Oct. 18-19.

The Class 3-1A State Girls Golf Championship is in Salina also on Oct. 21-22.

The State Gymnastics Championship will be hosted by Olathe South on Oct. 26.

The Class 5A State Volleyball Championships remains in Salina. Class 3A returns to Hutchinson and 2A and 1A will be at United Wireless Arena in Dodge City. All six classifications will play the championships Nov. 1-2.

Spring Hill will be the host of Class 5A State Boys Soccer Championships on Nov. 8-9.

All remaining state football sites remain unchanged with 5A hosted by Pittsburg, 3A at Hutchinson, 2A in Salina and 1A in Hays. All will be played on Nov. 30.

All classifications for State Boys Swimming and Diving remain unchanged and will be held at Capitol Federal Natatorium February 20-22, 2020.

The inaugural Girls State Wrestling Championships will be held at Tony’s Pizza Events Center in Salina on Feb. 27, 2020. The Boys State Wrestling Championships stand pat with Class 5A at Hartman Arena in Park City and 3-2-1A at Gross Memorial Coliseum in Hays. Those events will take place Feb. 28-29, 2020.

The girls and boys state bowling championships remain at Northrock Lanes in Wichita with Class 5-1A going on Mar. 6, 2020.

Hutchinson remains host of the 3A basketball tournament, while 2A returns to Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan and 1A stays in Dodge City.
