Bruff's was packed with wall-to-wall people Friday night as it hosted the annual Emporia St. Patrick's Benefit Auction.

Two rooms were crowded with items for both silent and live auctions. J & D Auctions with Dwayne Coble, and Victor Edelman of Swift & Sure Auctions were kept busy selling many quality items. The money raised will benefit 16 local organizations.

Included are the USD 252 Honor Flight Program, Read to Your Bunny, North Lyon County Vet Memorial Project, Transitions Program, Sacred Heart School, Emporia Public Library, What's In Outdoors Fund, Newman Regional Health's Teddy Bear Clinic, Neosho Valley Shrine Club, Loving Hands Ministry, Camp Hope, Lord's Lamb Preschool, First United Methodist Church, TFI Family Services, VFW Post 1980, and the FHTC Scholarship.

Plans are also underway for an expansion of the St. Patrick Day's activities, including a 5K run and disc golf tournament.
