Downtown Emporia was in celebration mode all day Saturday with Dia de los Muertos and Downtown Trick-or-Treating.

The Day of the Dead is a Mexican tradition that honors and celebrates the lives of those who have died.

The festivities began with a colorful parade, and followed by a lot of traditional dancing. Zumba dancing was also included with Jenny Losada and Andra Baldwin leading a group of ladies.

Trick-or-treating downtown was again crowded with kids in every kind of costume with businesses handing out candy.
