Emporia Masonic Lodge No. 12 will host its annual awards ceremony and banquet May 31 at the Masonic temple at 424 Merchant St. The banquet begins at 6 p.m. followed immediately at 7 p.m. by the awards ceremony.

Emporia Lodge No. 12 will sponsor 10 area students to attend Kansas Masonic All-State High School Marching Band Camp, to be held at the site of the annual Kansas Shrine Bowl All-Star Football Game. The 2019 camp will take place June 4 - 8 in Dodge City.

Also, 20 area students will get cash scholarships to attend community and technical colleges and universities within the state for the 2019-2020 school year.

Most Worshipful Delmus R. “Dale” Morrow, Grand Master of Masons in Kansas, will present service emblems to 24 Emporia Lodge members who have been Masons at least 25 years, including someone who has been a member for 70 years. Masonic widows will also be honored during the ceremony.

The evening will conclude with a reception after the awards ceremony.

The public is welcome to attend the 7 p.m. awards ceremony.
