I don't think there is anyway Nebraska-Omaha can be awarded the regional after dropping 5 of their last six to regional opponents, plus they did not win their conference. Finished second.
If they get the regional, it would be a crime. Plan on a trip to ESU.

UNO has a great team. Dropping 5 of 6 in the NCC should not matter if they still have a better regional record. Next season they will be in the MIAA so we can keep a closer eye on them. Hornets will have to beat them somewhere anyway.

Their regional record has suffered...and it is not the only factor used to make the decision. Not winning your conference is huge, as is the way you finished...especially in a regional crossover. A good team, maybe, but a poor finish...definitely.

ESU will beat them whether they play in Omaha, Emporia or Chanute.

What if they play in Africa??? I think they win in Africa too, but only is Beasley and Walk.... oh wait sorry my bad.

NCAA will not pay for them to go as far as Africa. How did Beasley and Walk... get in here? Softball is about athletes who graduate as well as play a sport.

Emporia it is. Wonder why SWMN did not want it?

I heard this morning that SW Minn. doesn't have anything other than a field at their softball complex. After doing some research on-line it seems that they just built a new field and that is all they have - a field. In comparison, Trusler is one of the nicest complexes in the country for softball and baseball - with the concession stand, permanent seating, the viewing deck above the clubhouse, actual restrooms (don't laugh some of these places just put up porta potties),

My apologies for attempting humor, from now on I'll try to be 100% serious. Trusler is a great place to play and how exciting to host a regional. And anyone who saw my four rec league home runs out their knows its a hitter park ;)
