When NAFTA was enacted Hillary & Bill Clinton both stated they supported it. Once her campaign began, she denied that. Now she is saying that the Clinton Admin. made a mistake with NAFTA; that it needs to be tweaked. What???At whose expense? Remember what Ross Perot said way back when? To paraphrase, he said that the sucking sound we would hear represented millions of American jobs going to foreign countries. We all saw that happen.

As if outsourcing wasn't enough of a swan song, now we have American companies like Tyson and Westar importing laborers and paying less than scale wages. (I hold Westar accountable for all entities that work on that plant).

Earlier in these posts, someone suggested that this is less the problem of state legislators, and more that of the feds. I'll have to agree, but they all need to be on this together. Local legislators were inundated with e-mails, and that's a good thing. Now the same needs to happen on the federal level. I've already sent mine. Let's all do that today. I know, I know, sometimes it's like spitting in the wind, but it's better than doing nothing.

The simple, plain truth of the whole mess the U.S. is in is because of present and past administrations allowing the U.S. to be sold to foreign governments and big money, such as Saudi Arabia, Dubai, China, Japan, etc.
Also the sad thing is, all of us common, working taxpayers set back and let it happen.
Does anyone know what would happen to the U.S. if all of the foreign big money and gov'ts' that have bought the U.S. happen to decide to with-draw their money and demand repayment of all the loans that the current and past administrations accepted from these foreigners just to make their administrations look good !
As far as illegal workers being used by WestStar, Black & Veatch, etc., this is no big revelation, since this sort of thing has been going on under your, our noses for a long time now.
And again we, the people who pay the bills have just set back and let it happen.

I haven't heard much back from our Federal officials.I don't think Brownback will touch this one,his voting record says that he likes this sort of thing.Sebelius does, too.
At the State level is where I see the most opposition and action. Our State officials are actually writing me back, and not form letters, either. It might help to email our new AG,too.
Not sure about the County level,I haven't heard much except always wanting more money from us.I used to think counties had a fair amount of legal and enforcement power.... I am mistaken.
