Description: All Veterans Tribute Week is organized by the Emporia Area Chamber & Visitors Bureau, 342-1803. Activities start 11/6 with a WWII Roundtable at 3 and 7 p.m., and a blood drive from 1 - 7 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 7 will have a blood drive from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Veterans luncheon at 11:45 a.m., Veterans Harvest Buffett dinner at ESU from 4:30 to 7 p.m., and the Veterans Recognition and USO Show at ESU at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday the 8th will have a special tailgate section at the ESU/Pitt State game. Sunday the 9th will see a Freedom Run/Walk at 7 a.m., and the presentation of student essays and posters at 3 p.m.
Monday, Nov. 10 has a lecture at the library at 7:30 p.m. "More than Ever: Why We Still Like Ike" Veterans are invited to have dinner at the Golden Corral from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
VETERAN"S DAY, Nov. 11. Breakfast at 7:15 a.m., parade down Commercial St. at 9:30 a.m. Memorial service at the All Veteran's Memorial on the Cottonwood River, 11 a.m., Ham & bean feed at noon.
