I was driving east on 6th street...and just acros from mark 2 lumber was a dead puppy laying in the street....I wanted to stop and do something but didnt know what to do...I drove home and called animal control,told them of the puppy and was promptly told that it is not their problem

i ve called them about dead animals before and the animal gets picked up, though i didnt see who would pick them up.

I called animal control about a dead cat on well used public sidewalk and there was not an officer on duty and was told it would have to wait till one was on duty. The custodian put it in a bag and put it in the dumpster. The city doesn't like that either but it's better than leaving it there and people having to walk by it all day.
