Wedding: Haag and May
Julie Ann Haag, formerly of Olpe, and Nicholas William May of Nashville were married July 8, 2011, at the Wightman Chapel in Nashville, Tenn. Fr. Tim Haberkorn officiated at the evening ceremony.
The maid of honor was Jennifer Schmidt. The best man was Chris May. The bride’s other attendants were Megan Haag, Rona May, Jessie Brooker, Liesel Schopler, Tanya Goodman, Holli Hoelting and Carrie Kueser. The groomsmen were Chris Haag, Chris Schmidt, Stephen Butler, Sean Dargan, John Liciardello and David Hunt. The flower girl was Macy Haag; the ring bearer was Trent Haag. Candlelighters were Taylor and Alexis May. The reader was Brooke Smitherman. Ushers were Ryker Schmidt, Damon Schmidt and Hunter May. Guestbook and gift attendants were Mallory Kueser, Gavin Hoelting and Connor Kueser.
The reception was held at The Cannery Ballroom, One Cannery Row, in Nashville. The rehearsal dinner was held at the couple’s home in the historic Hillsboro-West End neighborhood of Nashville.
The bride holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Emporia State University. She is the director of Product Management for Global Fraud Solutions, FICO.
She is the daughter of Charles and Marie Haag and the granddaughter of Harold Haag, all of Olpe.
The groom holds a Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Marketing from The University of Pennsylvania. He is a senior director in Business Development for Asurion.
He is the son of Ms. Mary May and Dr. Gary May, both of Fremont, Neb.
The bride and groom met in San Diego in 2001. They were engaged in January of 2011 in San Diego, on a pier overlooking the place where they had been introduced 10 years earlier. The couple will reside in Nashville.
Wedding: Williams and Price
Angie Williams and Scott Price of Emporia were married October 15, 2011 in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colo.
The matron of honor was Cyndi Goll. The best man was Jason Spellman. The brides attendants were Jennifer Watson and Jordan Williams. The groomsman was Lucas Sims. The flower girl was Ella Jane Sims. The ring bearer was Ethan Goll.
The reception was held in Saffordville.
The bride works as a registered nurse at Lyon County Health Department.
The groom is an IT Specialist at Emporia Police Department.
The bride is the daughter of Debbie and Steve Markowitz of Olpe and Gary Williams of Hartford. She is the granddaughter of Marie Barrett, Hartford, Vivian and Ken Partlow, Neosho Rapids, and Joe and Marie Markowitz, Olpe.
The groom is the son of Warren and Vickie Price of Emporia. He is the grandson of Ella Lawson of Emporia.
Engagement: Hunsicker and Rodriguez
Stephen and Rose Rodriguez of Emporia announce the engagement of their son, Stephen A. Rodriguez Jr., to Sarah Hunsicker of Woodridge, Ill., daughter of Dick and Judith Hunsicker of Crawfordsville, Ind.
The bride holds a bachelor of science degree in business management from Purdue University and is employed by Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
The groom holds bachelor of science degree in meteorology from the University of Oklahoma and a master of science degree in meteorology from St. Louis University. He is employed by the Chicago National Weather Service.
The couple plans to wed Dec. 31, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Louis, Mo.

Sarah Collier and Jacob Kreitzer were married Dec. 16, 2011, at the Lyon County Courthouse. Judge Merlin Wheeler officiated.
The couple was attended by family and friends.
