Anniversary: Wilson
50 Years
Dean and Eula Wilson of Hartford will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Hartford Community Center.
Hosts for the celebration will be the Wilsons’ children, Gwen and Kevin Wellnitz, Alan and Kiren Wilson, Colleen and Greg Tennant, Kim and Mike Holland and Darrell and Janell Wilson. The Wilsons have 14 grandchildren.
Dean and Eula Wilson were married Sept. 22, 1957, at the Church of God in Iola. Shortly after, they moved to the Hartford area, where they have farmed and raised livestock.
They request no gifts.
Anniversary: Whitsitt
50 Years
Former Emporians Jerry and Ann Whitsitt of Pearce, Ariz., will observe their 50th wedding anniversary Thursday. They celebrated this summer with family at a gathering in Angel Fire, N.M.
The Whitsitts were married Sept. 20, 1957, at Alameda, Calif.
The couple request no gifts, but would “love hearing from their many friends in the Emporia area.”
