Anniversary: Davis

Larry and Marilyn Davis of Lyons will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception and dance from 7 p.m. to midnight Saturday at the Eagles Aerie 2587, 1130 E. Ninth Ave., in Emporia.
Marilyn Roth and Larry Davis were married Dec. 1, 1957, at the Christian Church in Gridley.
Larry Davis retired from the Air Force and Marilyn Davis, from Emporia State University.
Their children are Hank Davis and Debbie Petterson, Tom Davis and Ron and Anita Davis. Their grandchildren are Ryan Davis, Colby Davis and Dustin Davis, who is serving in Iraq.

Anniversary: Mann

Lyle and Dianne Mann will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary with an open house from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the North Lyon County Community Center in Allen. Hosts will be their son, Keven Mann of Olathe, and their daughter, Shelley Mann and Gene Temanson of Firestone, Colo.
Dianne Schiesser and Lyle Mann were married Dec. 1, 1962, at the Allen United Methodist Church.
Lyle Mann worked at the Wheat Ranch for 40 years and now works for the Kansas Turnpike.
Dianne Mann worked at the S&S Oil and Propane Company, the Admire Bank in Emporia and now is a program technician with the Farm Service Agency. She worked in the Lyon County Office and later transferred to the Morris County Office in Council Grove.
The couple request your presence, but, please, no gifts.

Anniversary: Lang

Former Emporians Harold and Glenda Lang will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Nall Avenue Baptist Church, 5401 W. 67th St., in Prairie Village.
The Langs graduated from Emporia High School and have lived in Kansas City for 40 years.
They said, “In lieu of gifts, your presence is enough.”
