Wedding: Cooper and Miller

Lacey Dawn Cooper and Matthew Blake Miller were married Sept. 15, 2007, at the home of the bride’s parents in Cottonwood Falls. The Rev. G.W. Yeager officiated at the afternoon ceremony.
The maid of honor was Amber Cooper. The best man was Justin Westerfield. The bride’s other attendants were Amanda Westerfield, Tiffany Harshman and April Rogers. The groomsmen were Matt Harlan, Todd Peterson and Jeff Rogers. The flower girls were Skylar Westerfield and Mary Harshman; Trint Rogers was the ring bearer. Ushers were Chris Cooper, brother of the bride, and Tyler Peterson, brother of the bridegroom. Tommie Edmiston was the guestbook attendant. The program attendant was Kennedy Garza. The bride’s personal attendant was Vicky Cooper.
The wedding reception and dance were at the Prairie Coffee Company in Cottonwood Falls. Hostesses were Drew Garza and Kelsi Hardman. The gift attendants were Ashleigh Williams and Mandy Tatman. The rehearsal dinner was at the Chase County Country Club in Cottonwood Falls.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to Connecticut and live in Rantoul.
The bride graduated from Chase County High School and attends Johnson County Community College. She works at HyVee in Olathe.
The bridegroom graduated from Chase County High School and is the owner-operator of Auxiliary Power Products in Olathe.
She is the daughter of Clay and Connie Cooper of Cottonwood Falls.
He is the son of Tim and Toni Peterson of Cottonwood Falls and Mark Miller of Strong City.
Grandparents are Robert and Rosalie Edmiston of Americus, James and Peggy Cooper of Saffordville, Mark Miller Sr., of Newton, Ron and Jean Peterson of Branson, Mo., and Leona Newcomb of Strong City.

Wedding: Sterkel and Flowers

Kelly Sterkel and Matt Flowers were married July 7, 2007, at Fremont Park. The Rev. Thomas MIller officiated at the ceremony.
The matron of honor was Amanda Wilhite. The best man was Nate Kitson. The bride’s son, Austen Sterkel, escorted her down the aisle. The bride’s other attendant was Amanda Wilhite. The groomsman was Jesse McKee. The flower girls were Raegan Flowers, daughter of the bridegroom, and Taylor McCarthy. The ring bearers were Caleb Flowers, son of the bridegroom, and Dawson McCarthy. Priscilla Miller was the children’s attendant. Ushers were Justin McCarthy, brother of the bride, and Travis Carder. Sound and music were by Larry and Jo Howard. The program attendant was Audrey Garland, sister of the bridegroom. Ambrosia and Aurora Jamal were the guestbook attendants. Jennifer Bayes was the bubbles attendant.
The wedding reception was at the Emporia Eagles Club. The rehearsal dinner was a barbecue at the couple’s house.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to Eureka Springs, Ark., and Branson, Mo.
The bride graduated from Emporia High School and received an associate’s degree in practical nursing. She is a licensed practical nurse at the Wound Care Clinic.
The bridegroom graduated from Chanute High School and works at Birch Telecom.
She is the daughter Cathy McCarthy and Darwin McCarthy, both of Emporia. She is the granddaughter of Patricia Krumme of Emporia.
He is the son of Del and Brenda Flowers of Chanute. He is the grandson of Janice Jones of Columbus.

Wedding: Ogleby and Ruggiero

Stacy Ogleby and Edward Ruggiero were married Aug. 10, 2007, in an outdoor ceremony at the home of the bride’s parents in Admire. The Rev. Bob Robison officiated at the evening ceremony.
The maid of honor was Sarah Price. The best man was Jared Ogleby, brother of the bride. The bride’s other attendants were Melissa Ogleby and Brittany Hizar. The groomsmen were Justin Ogleby, brother of the bride, and Rick Washburn. The flower girls were Trinity Ruggiero, daughter of the bridegroom, and Kailee McGuire. Ushers were Taylor Keefe, Levi Hizar and Perry Peterson. Kailey Keefe was the guestbook attendant.
The wedding dinner and dance were held the following evening at an outdoor celebration at the home of the bride’s parents.
The couple live in Admire.
The bride works at North Lyon County Development Center.
The bridegroom works at Tyson Fresh Meats and is a member of the U.S. Army Reserve.
She is the daughter of Carey and Shelly Ogleby of Admire. She is the granddaughter of Gene and Joyce Fulmer of El Dorado, Duane Ogleby of Admire and the late Virginia Ogleby and the late LeRoy Hitchings.
He is the son of Anthony and Sherry Ruggiero of Emporia.

Engagement: Heins and Kauffman

Jami Lynn Heins and Daniel Joel Kauffman of Emporia announce their engagement.
Heins and Kauffman work at the Emporia Presbyterian Manor.
She is the daughter of Nancy Heins of Emporia.
He is the son of Kenneth and Erin Kauffman of Emporia.
The couple plan to marry Dec. 1, 2007, at the First Church of the Nazarene.
