Wedding: Torres and Tastove

Melissa Torres and Cody Tastove were married Sept. 8, 2007, in the amphitheater at Peter Pan Park. The Rev. Lew Hinshaw officiated at the afternoon wedding.
The maid of honor was Emily Torres, sister of the bride. The best man was Brandon Tastove, brother of the bridegroom. The bride’s other attendants were Sarah Priest, Elexa Dawson and Brandi Emley. The groomsmen were Casey Harshman, Chris Carathers and Mike Sidler. The flower girls were Katie Hornbostel and Carli Dawson. Ushers were Matthew Torres, brother of the bride, and Scott Dawson. The wedding musicians were Sarah Priest and Elexa Dawson, soloists. Jeanine Gardner was the guestbook attendant.
The wedding reception, dinner and dance were at Anderson Hall on the Lyon County fairgrounds. The rehearsal dinner was at Peter Pan Park.
The couple live in Cottonwood Falls.
Both received associate’s degrees in culinary arts and hospitality from Flint Hills Technical College. Both work at Dieker Oil in Cottonwood Falls.
She is the daughterof Charles and Lori Torres of Olpe. She is the granddaughter of Marvin and Janice Hornbostel of Junction City.
He is the son of Jim and Janet Tastove of Cottonwood Falls. He is the grandson of Carl and Darlene Smith of Westphalia.
