Anniversary: Flott
Former Emporians Donald and Beverly Gilliland Flott of Rochester, Minn., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary May 11.
They attended school in Emporia and were married at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on May 11, 1957.
There will be a reception and buffet Aug. 11, 2007, at Rochester, Minn.

Anniversary: Mann
Richard and Dolores Mann of Cedar Point will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Cottonwood Falls Community Building in Swope Park of Cottonwood Falls.
Hosts for the reception will be their children and their families: John and Sonia Koslosky of Freedom, Pa., Tony Mann and family of Cottonwood Falls and Jeff and Tammy Jirak of Marion. Their grandchildren are Jared and Katie Mann, Jordan Mann and Anne, Megan and Joel Jirak.
Dolores Noreen Maxwell and Richard Lee Mann were married May 19, 1957, at the United Methodist Church in Admire.
Richard Mann graduated from Cedar Point High School, served in the Army immediately after high school and spent his life career farming and ranching until he retired in 2005.
Dolores Mann graduated from Admire High School and attended Emporia State Teachers College, where she received a teaching certificate. She taught first and second grades at Cedar Point Grade School where she met Richard, who was a senior attending school in the same building. Later, she worked almost 25 years at Western Associates before she retired.
They request no gifts. Instead, they invite friends and family to join them in their celebration of 50 years and to share memories and stories of the couple.
