Anniversary: Buttenhoff
Orville and Roberta Buttenhoff of Topeka will be honored with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. April 1 at Bruff’s Steakhouse to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Hosts for the event will be their children and grandchildren, Rick and Rita Cates, Courtney and Whitney and Sherri Buttenhoff and George. Their son, Karl, died in 2003.
Orville Buttenhoff is a retired U.S.D.A. meat inspector and works for Securitas in Topeka.
Roberta Buttenhoff works as a cashier with Chartwell’s at Washburn University.
The couple request no gifts.
Anniversary: Lamond
Duane and Leona Lamond will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on March 24 with a card shower. Because of Duane’s recent illness, there will be no reception.
Cards may be sent to the couple at 27119 W. Highway K-170, Osage City, KS 66523.
The Lamond’s four children and the children’s spouses are Ray and Karen Lamond and Dean and Rita Croucher of Osage City, Brian and Ronda Anderson of Lenexa and a son, the late Ray Lamond.
Duane Lamond served in the U.S. Navy Seabees during World War II in Japan and the South Pacific. After his military service, he returned to farming.
Leona Lamond retired from Hallmark in Osage City on June 23, 1989.
