Wedding: Conroy and Swingle

Melissa Jane Conroy and Jeffrey Wayne Swingle were married Sept. 15, 2007, at the Didde Catholic Campus Center. The Rev. John P. Miller officiated at the afternoon ceremony.
The matron of honor was Jennifer Anne Hanson, sister of the bride. The best man was Tracy Cooper. The bride’s other attendants were Megan Swingle, sister of the bridegroom, Kristin Witte, Melissa Orton and Jennifer Skiles. The groomsmen were Tim Chappelear, Brennen East, Christopher Skiles and Thomas Resch. The ring bearer was Carson Witte. Ushers were Stephen Witt and Sean Witt. Diana Kuhlmann was the wedding musician. Readers were Marsha Short and Chauncey Swingle.
The wedding reception, dance and rehearsal dinner were at the Emporia Country Club.
The couple live in Topeka.
The bride is an osteopathic physician in pediatrics at Cotton-O’Neil Clinic in Topeka.
The bridegroom attends Ohio State University and works for FedEx Ground.
She is the daughter of Joseph P. and Jane Anne Conroy of Emporia. She is the granddaughter of Harry O. and Edna Witt and Donald Conroy.
He is the son of Chauncey and Junell Swingle of Zenda. He is the grandson of Adeline Green.

Wedding: Stueve and Ritchie

Lana Stueve and Andy Ritchie were married Sept. 29, 2007, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olpe. The Rev. Mark Mertes officiated at the afternoon ceremony.
The maid of honor was Lea Stueve, sister of the bride. The best man was Joey Ritchie, brother of the bridegroom. The bride’s other attendants were Lucinda Leach, Maddie Ritchie, Cat Brunner and Heidi Housholder. The groomsmen were Peter Onderick, Chris Maugins, Doug Mason and Chris Preboth. Flower girls were Kimber Leach and Marley Heins. Candlelighters were Marilyn Stueve and Lisa Ritchie, mothers of the bride and bridegroom. The wedding musicians were Velma Shipp and Sarah Jackman, Dianne Kuhlmann, Ryan Scarbrough, Donna Scarbrough, Cheryl and Clyde Lang and Brian Lang. Anna Zeck was the reader. Caleb Lang was the programs attendant.
The wedding reception was at Highland Ranch. Laura Seifert was the gift attendant. The rehearsal dinner was at the Rodeway Inn.
The couple spent their honeymoon in the Cayman Islands and live in Olpe.
The bride graduated from Fort Hays State University with a bachelor’s degree in health and human performance. She teaches health and physical education at Emporia High School.
The bridegroom graduated from Montana State University with a bachelor’s degree in animal science. He works for Highland Ranch and Flint Rock Cattle Company.
She is the daughter of Carl Lee and Marilyn Stueve of Olpe.
He is the son of A. Scott and Lisa Ritchie of Wichita. He is the grandson of Scott and Carol Ritchie of Wichita.

Wedding: East and Mosley

Abigail M. East and Andrew G. Mosley were married Oct. 27, 2007, at the Danforth Chapel on the University of Kansas campus in Lawrence. Phil Shoemaker officiated at the afternoon ceremony.
The maid of honor was Tarah Underwood. The bridegroom’s attendant was Mairin Cannon, who also was the vocalist.
The wedding reception was at the Memorial Union at the University of Kansas.
The couple live in Lawrence.
The bride graduated from Emporia High School and attends KU, where she is studying for a bachelor’s degree in genetics.
The bridegroom graduated from Basehor-Linwood High School and attended KU.
She is the daughter of Timothy F. and Julie D. East of Emporia.
He is the son of Clifford W. and Janel E. Mosley of Kansas City, Kan.
Grandparents are Marlin Jones of Garden City, Richard East of Nelsonia, Va., and Warren Graham of Mound City.

Engagement: Heins and Satterfield

Jane Heins of Emporia announces the engagement of her daughter, Sarah Jane Heins, to Shawn M. Satterfield, son of Cheri L. Bazor of Herington and Marlin M. Satterfield of Newton. Heins is also the daughter of the late Evert B. Heins Jr.
Heins graduated from Emporia High School and from Flint Hills Technical College with an associate’s degree in hospitality and culinary arts. She is the manager of the Eureka Country Club.
Satterfield graduated from Newton High School and works at the OV Ranch, south of Florence.
The couple plan to marry in December.
