Lydia Ann Cope and Jeff Good were married June 17, 2006, at Hope Community Church. The Rev. John Glennon officiated at the ceremony.
The maid of honor was Sadie Cope, sister of the bride. The best man was Dan Butt. The bride’s other attendant was Holly Good, sister of the bridegroom. The groomsman was Zeb Graham. Chloe Cope, sister of the bride, was the flower girl; Trevor Good was the ring bearer. Candlelighters were Haley Young and Brianne Davis. Ushers were Scott Meyer and Eric Mueller.
The wedding reception and dance were at the Fourth Avenue Dining Company.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to Osage Beach, Mo., and live in Hastings, Neb.
The bride is enrolled in the nursing program at Central Community College at Grand Island, Neb.
The bridegroom is a commercial driver for Hastings Pork.
She is the daughter of Jeff and Karen Cope of Emporia.
He is the son of Mike and Theresa Good of Central City, Neb.
Engagement: Nelson
Jessica Allen and Josh Nelson announce their engagement.
Allen graduated from Emporia High School and attends Emporia State University. She is a teacher’s aide at Lowther North Intermediate School. Nelson graduated from Lyndon High School and also attends Emporia State University. He works for Harley Gerdes Auctions.
She is the daughter of Jeffrey and Carol Allen of Emporia.
He is the son Harley and Cindy Gerdes of Lyndon and Jim and Laura Nelson of Blair, Neb.
The couple plan to marry in late September at Emporia.
