Anniversary: Brown
Dean and Joan Brown of Cottonwood Falls will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the community building in Swope Park at Cottonwood Falls. Hosts will be their two sons and their families, Michael and Pamela Brown of Hockessin, Del., and Mark and Brenda Brown of Gilbert, Ariz.; and, also, by their nephew and his family, Dick and Kathleen Brown of Eudora. The Browns have three grandchildren, Alison, Annie and Emma.
Rosa Joan Thompson and Wyatt Dean Brown were married on Oct. 19, 1956, at her parents’ home on Diamond Creek, north of Elmdale. The Browns have been lifelong residents of Cottonwood Falls and now live west of town, where they have lived for 41 years.
