Lloyd and Twila Stone celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 22.
Lloyd Stone and Twila Anderson were married on Dec. 22, 1956, in Emporia. They celebrated with a family vacation earlier this year.
The Stones have three sons, James of Frisco, Texas, John of Overland Park and Ben of Emporia. They have four grandchildren, Whitney and Morgan Stone; and Rylie and Jackson Stone.
Mr. Stone is a retired professor from Emporia State University and served six years in the Kansas House of Representatives. Mrs. Stone is a homemaker.
