Chris and Casey Scherer of Emporia are the parents of a daughter, Caydence Emylee Scherer, born Feb. 7, 2008, at Newman Regional Health. Grandparents are Sherry Arnold of Emporia, Troy Ghramm of Toronto and Kenvin and Sonja Messick of Homewood. The great-grandparents are Perry and Betty White, Ed and Marry Weaver and Sue Arnold and the late Kenneth Arnold, all of Emporia, and Leon and Lillian Ghramm of Fall River.
