Paige Alyson Schnakenberg and Colby Ward Rankin were married Sept. 1, 2012, at the Schnakenberg residence in Emporia. The Rev. Darryn Hewson of Renton, Wash., officiated at the evening ceremony.

The maid of honor was Maggie Wright. The best man was Nick Burd. The bride’s other attendants were Mallory Ronnebaum, Keri Mohr and Sarah Stevens. The groomsmen were Max Meeks, Corey Lamb and Evan Doughty. The honorary groomsman was Lt. Scott Dunaway, currently serving in Afghanistan. The flower girl was Taytum Schnakenberg; the ring bearer was Jon Paul McClure. The ushers were Trent Schnakenberg and Sebastian Matyszewski.

The musicians were Janine Henry, Dana Hacker, Justin Greve,Tiffany Hayes and Eric Martin. The guest book and gift attendants were Sara Schnakenberg and Ashton Becker.

The reception was held outdoors at the Schnakenberg home.

The bride graduated from Emporia High School in 2005 and from Kansas State University in 2009. She is employed at Citrus Energy in Castle Rock.

The groom graduated from Douglas County High School in Castle Rock in 2005 and attended Kansas State University and the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. He is employed at the Inverness Hotel in Englewood, Colo.

The bride is the daughter of Kent and Natalie Schnakenberg of Emporia. She is the granddaughter of Virginia and the late Edwin Pinkston and Millie and the late N.E. “Bud” Schnakenberg, all of Emporia.

The groom is the son of Randy and Mary Rankin of Castle Rock, Colo. He is the grandson of Daylon Rankin of Great Bend and Wayne and Jean Ward of Larned.

The couple took a wedding trip to St. Thomas.

They met as students at Kansas State University and now reside in Centennial, Colo.
