SOS CASA summer training
CASA volunteers uncover facts for the court in child abuse and neglect cases, develop a special relationship with the child and family and make recommendations to the court in the child’s best interests. Classes for new Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers begin July 3 and will use a blended training curriculum.
This five-week curriculum includes a weekly in-person class and online session at the volunteer’s leisure. CASA is accepting applications for volunteers who are 21 years or older, able to commit to two years with the program and care about the well-being of children.
To sign-up for the training or for more information call CASA, 343-2744, or by email, firstname.lastname@example.org.
